Silambarasan TR's highly-anticipated gangster drama, Pathu Thala, is arriving on the big screen on March 30 and there is quite a lot of buzz surrounding the film ever since it was revealed that the actor will be seen appearing as a don, with his look turning out to be quite a rage among fans. Directed by Obeli N. Krishna and produced by K. E. Gnanavelraja's Studio Green in association with Jayantilal Gada's Pen Studios banner, the upcoming film also includes music by Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman, whose inclusion is undoubtedly a mass USP. With preparations already underway to get Simbu's Pathu Thala a massive release and a grand audio launch as well being planned, the team on Saturday, March 11, released a special promo for the second single titled 'Ninaivirukka' and the video features Obeli N. Krishna, lyricist Kabilan, composer A. R. Rahman, who is joined by his son A. R. Ameen toward the end.

Billed to be a scintillating melody, 'Ninaivirukka' in STR's Pathu Thala will feature vocals by A R Ameen and Shakthisree Gopalan, and will be releasing on March 13 at 6 p.m. The promo shows director Obeli Krishna explaining the situation of the song to A. R. Rahman, who then comes up with the tune, while being supported by son A. R. Ameen on the vocals, with Kabilan as well stepping in with the lyrics. There are huge expectations for the Pathu Thala album as well as the film and fans await yet another memorable musical treat from A. R. Rahman, who has in the past delivered memorable songs and scores for Simbu in films like Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, and more recently Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu Part I: The Kindling.
Pathu Thala is the first big release of 2023 for Simbu and the actor will be looking to make it a hat-trick after his Maanaadu (2021) and Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu (2022) went on to become massive box office hits, while also being showered with laurels by critics and fans alike. The film also stars Gautham Karthik playing an undercover police officer, who is paired with Priya Bhavani Shankar as a Tehsildar, while Gautham Menon is the antagonist, with Kalaiyarasan, Teejay Arunasalam, Redin Kingsley, Anu Sithara, Manushyaputhiran among others cast in key roles.
