Thuvandha Yuddham, a short film by Ashoke Kumar, is based on the plight of fishermen from Rameshwaram, who are constantly harassed by the Sri Lankan Navy. This short film made its theatrical release in August last year, and now its director Ashoke Kumar has released it online, on Youtube. Since its release online, 3 days ago, Thuvandha Yuddham has already garnered close to 2600 views, and quite a number of positive comments.
The technical aspects of this short film, as well as the subtle handling of a very sensitive issue, have come in for a lot of praise from many quarters. This short film has already won 6 Best Film Awards at various competitions, and has also garnered a Best Actor Award and became a part of the official selection in the Norway Tamil Film Festival.
