The buzz surrounding 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Leo continues to get bigger as it has now been announced that the film's overseas distribution rights have been acquired by Phars Film Co LLC. Producer S. S. Lalit Kumar's 7 Screen Studio shared a video on their social media handles showing Ahmad Golchin, the Founder and Chairman of the Phars Film Group, expressing his happiness about the collaboration. He said, "We are delighted to have acquired the overseas rights for the magnum opus Leo. It's our pleasure to be associated with 'Thalapathy' Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj, and also Lalit Kumar of 7 Screen Studio. We are expecting Leo to be one of the biggest Indian releases this year overseas. Excited and looking forward to the release on 19 October 2023."

Phars Film coming on board to distribute Vijay's Leo overseas is the first major step in the upcoming film's release and once again shows that 7 Screen Studio producer Lalit Kumar is planning well ahead and in a timely manner. It is to be noted that the international banner tasted major success earlier this year when they also released the Tamil actor's Varisu overseas. With preparations already underway to make Leo's release as grand as can be with Phars Film now confirmed for the overseas plans, we can expect the makers of the film to share more exciting updates in the days ahead, with all eyes now set on what's in store next on Vijay's birthday on June 22.
Leo is currently being shot in Chennai in a brisk manner and has Vijay sharing screen space with several big names among whom include Trisha, who is pairing with the superstar 15 years after they worked in films like Ghilli (2004), Thirupaachi (2005), Aathi (2006), and Kuruvi (2008). The film also stars Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt as the antagonist, while 'Action King' Arjun, Mysskin, Gautham Menon, Priya Anand, Sandy master, Malayalam actor Mathew Thomas will be seen in key roles. Leo also marks the second collaboration for Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj with composer Anirudh Ravichander after their Master (2021) and expectations are huge for him to deliver a cracker of an album once again.
