'Thalapathy' Vijay is off to Bangkok, Thailand, where the team of his upcoming film, the tentatively titled Thalapathy 68, has currently set up their base to proceed with the shooting of the next schedule. The leading Tamil actor was spotted at the Chennai International Airport in the early hours of Friday, November 3, in a white full-hand shirt and blue denim trousers, with security personnel escorting him inside the air terminal. Vijay, who recently took part in the grand Leo success meet celebrations in Chennai on Wednesday, November 1, is joining the Thalapathy 68 crew headed by the film's director Venkat Prabhu, who left for Bangkok earlier this week.

With Leo turning out to be a phenomenal box office success grossing more than 500 crores in worldwide collections, Vijay will be in high spirits for Thalapathy 68, which has already wrapped 15 days of shooting in Chennai. It is to be noted that a song composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja featuring lyrics by Madhan Karky has also been shot during the first schedule, with the next leg of filming reportedly planned for two weeks. Thalapathy 68 has been carrying tremendous buzz right from the get-go after it was announced in May this year, with a lot of excitement centered around Vijay teaming up with the successful Venkat Prabhu-Yuvan combo.

Announced to come out in cinemas in 2024, Thalapathy 68 will see Vijay sharing the screen alongside a packed star cast featuring the likes of youth sensation Meenakshi Chaudhary, who will be seen playing the female lead, with Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Mohan, Jayaram, Laila, Sneha, Yogi Babu, Ajmal Amir, VTV Ganesh, and Venkat Prabhu's younger brother Premgi Amaren and their regular collaborators Vaibhav, Aravind Akash, and Ajay Raaj set to make appearances in pivotal roles. The excitement in the Thalapathy 68 camp has been high as fans got to witness the entire team happy and smiling during the film's pooja ceremony held on October 2.
