Urging the censor board to stop the censoring of the Telugu edition (Siva Thandavam) of upcoming Tamil film Thaandavam, starring Vikram and Anushka, popular Telugu producer Nattikumar lodged a complaint with the board's Hyderabad regional officer Dhanalakshmi.
Nattikumar claimed that the film's Telugu producer Kalyan is cheating by presenting the film as a straight Telugu film, instead of dubbed film.
Nattikumar said that UTV, which made Thaandavam in Tamil, applied for a censor certificate in Chennai as a straight Tamil film, whereas Kalyan has applied for a censor certificate for its dubbed version, claiming it as a straight Telugu film.
"It’s nothing but cheating both the governments of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh," he said adding that the producer is trying to evade entertainment tax.
