Actor Mirchi Shiva is know for doing Comedy films. After his debut in Chennai 600028, he became famous for the spoof film Tamil Padam and Tamil Padam 2 that conferred him the title Agila Ulaga Superstar. The busy actor has a range of films from Golmaal, Kasethan Kadavulada, Party, Saloon in line. His recent Single Shankarum Smartphone Simranum by debut director Vignesh Sha PN released today in theatres. Galatta got to do an exclusive interview with the cast of the film including Mirchi Shiva, Megha Akash, Sha Ra and director of the film as the cast spoke about some spicy details from the film.
As the anchor asked the reason why the makers of Single Shankarum Smartphone Simranum cast Singer Mano sir as Shankar's father?. The director said He and his team discussed and thought Singer Mano will fit into the role perfectly but were hesitant. They tried to meet him and spoke about his role in the film, revealed the director and added the celebrated singer immediately agreed saying he was a big fan of the Mirchi Shiva. He praised the actor saying "He has played the role well".
Shiva further added saying "Mano sir means happiness". He said on the first first day of filming, he went near him and asked him to sing. "He continued to sing songs for us daily without any reluctance and as a revenge Mano sir game us his home cooked food", said the actor merrily. Shiva said he wanted to work with him more and has also recommended to his other film producers. The director of the film said it was based on a short film that he made earlier and revealed why they gave the name Simran to the character of the AI that appears. He said they wanted every name in the title to begin with S and so he named the characters Shankar and Simran.
