Thugs, starring Hridhu Haroon, has received a warm reception from both critics and audiences since its release today. To further promote the film, the production team has unveiled a sneak peek of the movie. The clip features Hridhu Haroon, Bobby Simha, and Munishkanth in a jail setting. In the scene, Munishkanth appears to have been wrongly accused of murder after committing a minor offense. Bobby Simha accuses Munishkanth of being a fraud, while Munishkanth is shown carrying tobacco with him. The officers in the scene are portrayed as being unconcerned about Munishkanth's possession of tobacco.
Choreographer turned director Brinda master's debut film, Hey Sinamika, featuring Dulquer Salmaan, was well-received by the audience. Now, she has returned with her second directorial venture titled Thugs, starring Hindi actor Hridhu Haroon in the lead role. The film is the official remake of the acclaimed Malayalam movie Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil. Bobby Simha, Muneeskanth, Appani Sarath, Anaswara Rajan, and Ramya Shankar play pivotal roles in the film, with Sam CS providing the background score. The film is co-produced by Rhea Shibu and M Mumdas in collaboration with Zeo Studios and has been released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi languages. Thugs revolve around the lives of gangs in the Nagercoil area and feature several violent scenes. The film explores the dangerous and thrilling world of these gangs and the challenges they face in their daily lives.
Hridhu Haroon, the son of well-known film producer Shibu Thameens, makes his Tamil debut as an actor with the film Thugs. Despite hailing from a Malayalam-speaking background, he has chosen to start his acting career in Tamil and Hindi. Before Thugs, Hridhu made his acting debut in the Hindi web series Crash Course, which is available for streaming on Amazon Prime. With his impressive performance in Thugs and Crash Course, Hridhu has made a good remark as a promising new talent in the Indian film industry.
