Shanthnu Bhagyaraj made his acting debut as a child artist with his father's film Vettiya Madichu Kattu which released in 1998, he then went on to work as an assistant director to his father before making his debut as a lead actor in the romantic comedy Sakkarakatti (2008). The film bombed at the box office despite having a good opening. Shanthnu kept giving his 100% percent for all the films that he signed but unfortunately, he was not able to taste success. Now after all these years, the tide has started to shift towards Shanthnu’s side. He has four films in his kitty right now which includes a big-budget multi-starrer Master which also features the likes of Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles.

The Sakkarakatti actor plays a pivotal role in Master and a leading media house has now reported that without Shanthnu’s character, Master’s film will not be complete. The channel claimed that Shanthnu himself had told this to them. However, Shanthnu has now made an important clarification regarding this on his Twitter space tagging the news portal. He tweeted saying - “yen ya ipdi ellam kelappureenga ? Na ipdi sollave Illa ! Na sivaney nu dhan iruken title eh maathunga pa.”
