The film has created huge excitement among fans and movie buffs as it will mark the debut of popular Tamil director Atlee in Bollywood. Announcing the release of the song from the movie, actor-producer shared a special statement on his Twitter page. He shared a couple of lines from the song and translated them into English: "When principles are at stake, one must fight; this battle is what makes you alive!". He then thanked veteran Urdu poet Wasim Barselvi, saying, "I thank Wasim Varselvi Sahab with all my heart for letting us use this beautiful couplet with a minor change." He then shared that the song was written by Irshad Kamil and the music was composed by his "dear friend" Anirudh.

This tweet by the actor-producer has gone viral instantly, and he had attached the link to a video with the post. The first single from Jawan was released in multiple languages, including Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu. The song, composed by Anirudh, was titled Zinda Banda in Hindi, Vandha Edam in Tamil, and Dhumme Dhulipelaa in Telugu. This shows that the Hindi version of the song featured lines penned a popular poet.

Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan has created a huge excitement as it features an exciting ensemble of cast. It will mark the debut of 'Lady Superstar' Nayanthara in Bollywood and also have ‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi in an important role, with a special appearance by Deepika Padukone. The first song of the film, also sung by Anirudh Ravichander, has become a viral video, with over 1.5 million views in less than two hours of its release.
