Filmmaker turned actor Sasikumar has been a part of the Tamil film industry for more than a decade and is currently attached to several projects that are gearing up for their releases. Last seen in Samuthirakani's Naadodigal 2, Sasikumar's upcoming lineup includes films like Rajavamsam, MGR Magan, Kombu Vatcha Singamda, Naa Naa, Udan Pirappe and Pagaivanuku Arulvai, which incidentally marks the comeback of Anish Azhanadan to direction after a gap of nearly seven years when he last made the Jai-Nazriya starrer Thirumanam Enum Nikkah. 

Produced under the 4 Monkeys Studio banner, Pagaivanuku Arulvai is an adaptation of William Shakespeare's classic play, Macbeth, with popular TV serial turned film heroine Vani Bhojan and Bigg Boss fame Biindhu Madhavi cast as the female leads. With production on the film touted to be a gangster action drama completed, the makers on the auspicious occasion of Vinayagar Chathurthi released the much-awaited Pagaivanuku Arulvai teaser featuring Sasikumar in an out-and-out action mode, with Vani Bhojan and Bindhu Madhavi as well making appearances alongside the rest of the supporting cast that includes Sathish Ninasam, Hareesh Peradi, Jaya Prakash among others. 

The Pagaivanuku Arulvai easer looks interesting right from the get go as it shows Sasikumar in action mode, with the story hinted to be set in different time periods. The film no doubt is a step away from the romantic comedy, Thirumanam Enum Nikkah, for director Anish, who will want to hit the bullseye this time. Featuring music by Ghibran, Pagaivanuku Arulvai has a talented technical team on board among whom are Karthik K Thillai as the cinematographer, Mu. Kasi Vishwanathan as the editor, Vijay Thennarasu for the art direction, followed by choreography by Dina and 'Action' Noor for the stunts.
