Actor Karthi, the brother of the Kanguva star, shared his excitement for the film and the glimpse on social media. The actor tagged Director Siva of Viswasam and Annaatthe fame and said, "Kanguva glimpse was a superb gift on Anna’s birthday." The actor then added he saw some stills from the spot and said it was great, saying "summa" with three fire emojis, "Eagarly waiting". He also added the link to the glimpse video in the Tweet.

Reportedly, actor Natraj, aka Natty, is playing a negative character in the film. There are also massive speculations that Bollywood actor Bobby Deol could also be acting in an important role. The film is expected to release in early 2024. The upcoming film of actor Karthi is Japan, directed by Raju Murugan.
