Bollywood superstar Salman Khan made an appeal to fans on Monday, November 13, to not burst firecrackers inside cinema halls to celebrate his latest film, Tiger 3. The statement from the leading Hindi actor has come out after videos showing a section of the fans setting off firecrackers inside the Mohan Cinema in Maharashtra's Nashik district on the release of the action thriller film on Monday, November 12, went viral on social media. The videos showed the Tiger 3 screening getting disrupted as a result of the commotion caused by the sudden bursting of the firecrackers leading to widespread alarm among moviegoers. 

Addressing the incident, Salman Khan requested fans to enjoy Tiger 3 without putting themselves and the moviegoers in harm's way while emphasizing their safety. He wrote on X, "I'm hearing about fireworks inside theaters during Tiger3. This is dangerous. Let's enjoy the film without putting ourselves and others at risk. Stay safe." (sic) The videos showing the harrowing incident during the Tiger 3 screening start off with dark visuals followed by whistles when Salman Khan appears on the big screen. There is a sudden burst of sparks and smoke as crackers are seen getting ignited near the screen leading to a number of fans scrambling to rush out of the way in order to avoid getting injured. Towards the end of the video, a dense smoke cloud is visible inside the cinema hall, with the theatre owner reportedly lodging a police complaint thereafter. 

Meanwhile, Tiger 3 has taken a sensational start at the box office becoming the highest-grossing Diwali day in the history of Hindi cinema making it the biggest start for Salman Khan at the box office in his illustrious career. The third film in the Tiger franchise and the fifth installment in the YRF Spy Universe, it has also registered the highest-grossing overseas opening day (including paid previews) in the Hindi cinema history. Tiger 3 directed by Maneesh Sharma has Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif reprising their roles as Avinash "Tiger" Singh Rathore and Zoya, respectively, with Emraan Hashmi cast as the antagonist.
