2021 has been a testing year for everyone world over as people from all walks of life are dealing with the effects of the coronavirus pandemic that has left everyone in a state of emotional agony and despair as many have been bereaved of their close ones and family members. From commoners to celebrities, the loss of life due to COVID-19 around the world and subsequently the second wave in India is causing a lot of grief as the government is trying to find a solution by vaccination programs and getting the oxygen supply to hospitals across the country. In the year so far, many deaths from the world of entertainment have been reported  and the news now of leading Telugu hero Ram Pothineni's grandfather passing away recently has once again left many in mourning. The cause of his death is still unknown.

The iSmart Shankar actor took to his Twitter page on Tuesday and penned an emotional and heartfelt condolence message in memory of his grandfather. Sharing a picture of his grandfather, Ram Pothineni informed fans that he began his journey in life as a lorry driver in Vijayawada and taught him everything about life. The Red actor wrote, "From humble beginnings of a lorry driver in Vijayawada sleeping with lorry tires under your bed to providing & caring for your family, you’ve always had the heart of a King. You’ve shown us that richness comes not from what’s in your pocket but from what lies in your heart. Thank you for dreaming big for your children & making them what they are today. Rest In Peace, Tatagaru. #RAPO (sic)."

On the work front, Ram Pothineni will next be seen in a Telugu-Tamil bilingual to be directed by Lingusamy, which is billed to be a mass commercial entertainer and will reportedly show the actor in a completely different manner, who will be paired opposite youth sensation Krithi Shetty.
