Iconic actor Raghuvaran continues to be remembered by fans as one of the most gifted and talented performers in the history of Tamil cinema, who garnered a huge fan following for essaying powerful villain roles. Having worked with leading stars of three different generations alongside the likes 'Superstar' Rajinikanth, 'Thalapathy' Vijay, Ajith Kumar, 'Chiyaan' Vikram, Suriya, including Dhanush, he carved a niche for himself with his special style of dialogue delivery and baritone voice. Raghuvaran impressed in character roles too that also included playing two-time National Award winner Dhanush's father in the blockbuster Yaaradi Nee Mohini (2008), which was his last film before his demise. 

Among the many major highlights of Yaaradi Nee Mohini was the father-son relationship between Raghuvaran and Dhanush, which was well-received by audiences and continues to be one of the most memorable aspects of the romantic comedy film. With the film still being celebrated by Tamil cinema audiences to this date, Raghuvaran's brother Ramesh recently sat down for an interview with Galatta and shared many interesting details about the late actor. Speaking about the reason Raghuvaran agreed to be a part of Yaaradi Nee Mohini, the celebrated actor's brother said, "Dhanush came and requested him to play the role of his father in the film. He then put his arm around Dhanush's shoulder and said that he will act in the film because he reminded him of his son (Rishi). He said he'll definitely do it." 

Explaining how Raghuvaran's character as Dhanush's father had a tremendous impact, Ramesh opened up about the last days after his brother finished shooting Yaaradi Nee Mohini, which also starred Nayanthara and was directed by Mithran R. Jawahar based on a screenplay written by Selvaraghavan featuring music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. He said, "A week after he finished shooting and dubbing for the film, I don't know how to say that, but he was a bit depressed and wasn't talking to anybody. I was also worried. Since you mentioned Yaaradi Nee Mohini, I can feel that you love that film because that bond between a father and son is beautiful."
