Director Adhik Ravichandran made his impressive debut in Tamil cinema with the adult comedy entertainer, Trisha Ilana Nayanthara and it turned out to be a success at the box office. Later, he got to direct Silambarasan TR in his second film, Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan, which became a box office failure because of its mixed to negative reviews. After a hiatus, Adhik Ravichandran is back with his third directorial, Bagheera that stars Prabhu Deva in the lead role. The film's shooting was recently wrapped up and the makers are currently busy with the post-production works. Bagheera features Anegan fame Amyra Dastur and Super Deluxe fame Gayathrie as the female leads and there are three other female actors who are a part of the film. Bagheera is expected to bring Adhik Ravichandran back on track and it is touted to be a youthful romantic entertainer.

Produced by RV Bharathan under the banner of Bharathan Pictures, this film has cinematography by SK Selvakumar and Abinandhan Ramanujam, while the editing is taken care of Ruben. Ganesan Sekar has handled the film's music. The teaser of the film is all set to be released tomorrow (February 19) morning at 11 AM and it will be released by actor Dhanush who shares a great rapport with Prabhu Deva. Ahead of the teaser's release, the makers have released a glimpse of the teaser through a new promo which serves as a buildup to Prabhu Deva's character in the film.
