Social media has been abuzz today with fans sharing their adulation and reminiscing their fond memories of the blockbuster Dhanush-starrer Thiruchitrambalam (2022), which was released on the same day a year ago. The romantic comedy-drama film written and directed by Mithran R. Jawahar and also starring veteran filmmaker Bharathiraja, Nithya Menen, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Raashii Khanna under Kalanithi Maran's Sun Pictures banner went on to become a raging box office success, while also earning massive critical acclaim from audiences and critics alike. With the #1YearofThiruchitrambalam hashtag trending across all social networking platforms, actor Wazahad Sulthan Sha aka. VJ Pappu took part in the film's one-year celebrations at the Sun Pictures office earlier today, while also posting photos of the big reunion with the cast and crew. 

The photos shared by VJ Pappu show him alongside Thiruchitrambalam star Dhanush, actress Nithya Menen, Prakash Raj, and director Mithran R. Jawahar among several others. He also went on to express his admiration for Dhanush and Nithya Menen, who played his elder sister in the hit rom-com film, which also featured chart-topping hits songs and a soulful background score composed by 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander. A year on, Thiruchitrambalam continues to be well-remembered and the celebration throughout the day is a testimony of how the masses hold the film dear to their hearts. 

Among the striking aspects of the one year of Thiruchitrambalam celebrations is Dhanush sporting a new look for his role in his upcoming film, the tentatively titled D50, which as well is being produced under the prestigious Sun Pictures banner. Although not much is known about the film, it is billed to be a highly-ambitious venture and is incidentally also the two-time National Award-winning Tamil actor's second directorial after Pa Paandi (2017). Dhanush, who will next be seen in the highly-anticipated Captain Miller releasing in theatres worldwide on December 15, also has the tentatively D51 alongside Rashmika Mandanna under hit Telugu filmmaker Sekhar Kammula's direction, and Tere Ishk Mein in Hindi, which marks his reunion with director Aanand L. Rai after they previously collaborated in Raanjhanaa (2013) and Atrangi Re (2021).
