'Lady Superstar' Nayanthara's next big film is titled Mannangatti Since 1960 and has been announced on the auspicious occasion of Vinayagar Chathurthi on Monday, September 18. A motion poster has been released giving audiences a glimpse of the leading South Indian actress, while also showing elements of the story and what audiences can expect once the film is released in theatres. Mannangatti Since 1960 marks the directorial debut of popular Tamil YouTuber Dude Vicky and the budding filmmaker couldn't have asked for a bigger start to his cinema career than having Nayanthara headline his film, which will roll into production soon.
The Mannangatti Since 1960 motion poster as the film's title suggests is set in the year 1960 and gives a glimpse of rural Tamil Nadu and a temple in a village. We also see money offered as a donation to the Almighty and a statue of Lady Justice on a witness stand amidst the same temple backdrop. The visuals then show a banknote set to flight as a paper rocket, which goes on to circle around Lady Justice, with the blindfold on the statue revealing Nayanthara's eyes. The Mannangatti Since 1960 motion poster gives a hint at the film's story and that it could possibly revolve around Nayanthara standing for justice amidst a conflict within the village and possibly its norms.
Mannangatti Since 1960 will see Nayanthara sharing the screen with popular names like Yogi Babu, Devadarshini, Gouri Kishan, and Narendra Prasath, among others, and will feature songs and a background score composed by hit Tamil music director Sean Roldan. The upcoming film also includes a highly skilled and talented technical team onboard starting with cinematographer R .D. Rajasekhar, editor G Madan, and art director Milan, while Anu Vardhan is the costume designer and the costumer is Perumal Selvam.
