Ponniyin Selvan is the two-part magnum opus of Mani Ratnam. The film is based on the historical fiction book by the late writer Kalki. The films have a huge star cast of Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Jayaram, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Parthiban, Rahman and others in lead roles. It has music by Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman. The first part that was released last year was a blockbuster hit and drove people to theatres as fans were excited to see their favourite novel as a film. After the release of the first part, the production house back-rolling the film Lyca Productions announced the second part will be released on April 28.
Following the announcement, the makers of Ponniyin Selvan Part 2 has been released some making videos and announcements hyping the anticipation of fans for the sequel. One of the hit background scores that were present in the first part of Ponniyin Selvan that was not released as part of the album was Aga Naga. The magical melody song was a trending number that was featured in many reels and shorts on social media. The makers have now announced that the track will be officially released on 20th March, Monday, at 6.00 PM. Lyca Production made the announcement with a new poster of Trisha as Kundavai standing with a sword in front of blind-folded Vandhiyathevan played by actor Karthi. The song is set to be released in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi apart from Tamil. The makers made the announcement with the caption ”Get Ready to experience the magic of Aga Naga in all its glory". The song is sung by Shakthisree Gopalan and was penned by Ilango Krishnan.

Fans anticipate more updates from the makers of Ponniyin Selvan Part 2 as the film is set to be released in a month. There are also speculations that the audio launch of the film will take place in a few days on a massive scale.
