A film that has fans across the nation waiting with bated breath, K. G. F: Chapter 2's shooting is nearing completion and will see Yash reprising his role as Raja Krishnappa Bairya aka. Rocky. The first installment, K. G. F: Chapter 1, released in late 2018 went on to become the highest-grossing Kannada film of all-time, while also getting dubbed in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi as well. Being directed by Prashant Neel under Vijay Kiragandur’s Hombale Films banner, the production on KGF 2 is currently progressing at Hyderabad in accordance with the COVID-19 norms, with plans to wrap up the shoot completely this month.

Meanwhile, KGF: Chapter 2 Creative Producer Karthik Gowda on Wednesday responded to a fan's query on the plans for the KGF: Chapter 2 teaser. The fan had told that it has been three years since he had watched the KGF: Chapter 1 teaser, with Gowda responding that the KGF 2 teaser will be released on Yash's birthday, which falls on January 8. Karthik Gowda's tweet in Kannada about the KGF: Chapter 2 teaser when translated is as follows: "It will be out on his birthday. It will be on a different level (sic)."

KGF: Chapter 2 will see the return of Srinidhi Shetty as the female lead, with Sanjay Dutt set to make his appearance as the dreaded Adheera. Shooting plans were disrupted owing to the coronavirus pandemic, which forced film production across the country to be shut down for more than 6 months. KGF 2 will also include several notable names such as Malavika Avinash, Anant Nag, Archana Jois, Vasishta N Simha, Avinash BS, Achyuth Kumar, Balakrishna in major supporting roles, while Prakash Raj, Raveena Tandon, Saran Shakthi are some of the new additions to the cast.

Earlier this year, Yash revealed in an interview that KGF 2 will include more action than the first film, with the fights between his and Sanjay Dutt's characters to be bloodier, more gory and longer than what was witnessed in the first KGF film. With the announcement that the KGF: Chapter 2 teaser will be releasing on January 8, 2021 now made official by the film's creative producer himself, Yash's fans, including those who have been carrying massive expectations for the sequel across the nation will have plenty to celebrate in the days ahead.
