Director Karthick Naren’s Mafia:Chapter One, which released last Friday, has opened to mixed reviews from critics and fans. The film was raved for its stylish making and classy visuals, but was criticised for over usage of slow motion shots and a not-so-engaging content. Reacting to all those negative criticisms, Karthick has now come up with a tweet, in which he stated that he has duly taken a note of all the reviews, both positive and negative. He added that he would be learning and unlearning again in the projects to follow suit.
Mafia: Chapter One, which is produced by Lyca, features Arun Vijay, Prasanna, and Priya Bhavanishankar in the lead roles. Both, Arun and Prasanna’s performances as Aryan and Diwakar Kumaran (DK) have got a positive reception from the fans. This stylish action thriller had music scored by Jakes Bejoy and cinematography handled by Gokul Benoy.
We will have to wait for a few more months to know if Karthick would be making the sequel to Mafia, as promised in the film. For now, Karthick will soon start working on the pre-production works of his next with Dhanush (#D43) under the production of Sathya Jyothi Films. This action thriller will have music composed by G.V.Prakash Kumar. The shooting of the film is expected to begin from June 2020. Stay tuned for more updates.
