'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan's Vikram continues to go strong at the box office and has reportedly crossed the 300 crore mark in box office collections. The action thriller directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj also starring 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist and Fahadh Faasil in a crucial role, with Suriya as well appearing in a short yet powerful cameo, is still running houseful in theatres everywhere, with many going in for repeat viewings. Produced by Kamal Haasan and R. Mahendran under the Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI) banner and featuring music by Anirudh Ravichander, the makers continue to promote Vikram, with the much-awaited EDM version of the 'Porkanda Singam' song now released.
The 'Porkanda Singam EDM' song comes during a crucial action sequence featuring Kamal Haasan making an attempt to rescue his grandson in Vikram, which was one of the biggest highlights of the film. Anirudh's compositions in the film once again proved to be a big USP and the EDM version definitely lent a massive punch to the action scene, which had Kamal Haasan as Vikram/Karnan going up in an all-out war against the goons sent by Santhanam played by Vijay Sethupathi. Featuring lyrics penned by Vishnu Edavan, the 'Porkanda Singam EDM' song features vocals by Anirudh, who has added yet another feather in his cap with the latest chart-buster.
Kamal Haasan's Vikram has turned around the tide and beat the record set by Baahubali: The Conclusion in 2017 for the highest collections in Tamil Nadu. The film's success has also set the platform for the 'Lokesh Cinematic Universe' and raised the expectations for Kaithi 2 with Karthi and Vikram 3, especially after it was revealed that Suriya as the drug syndicate chief Rolex was the mastermind behind the events in Kaithi and Vikram.
