Recently, there were wide speculations that actress Kajal Aggarwal secretly got engaged to a businessman called Gautam. It was said that the engagement happened as a low key affair and it was attended by popular Telugu actor Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas. The news created a huge buzz on the internet and among the fans. In one of her earlier interviews, Kajal Aggarwal had said that she is planning to settle down in 2020 and this statement added up to the speculations of the engagement. However, no pictures from the engagement event surfaced on the internet.

Having said that, Kajal Aggarwal’s side has now denied the news stating that it is a false rumour. We hope this clarification will put a full stop to all the speculations.

On the work front, Kajal Aggarwal is quite busy with various exciting projects. The biggest among those happens to be Kamal Haasan's Indian 2, directed by Shankar. Kajal Aggarwal's character is said to have a significant importance in the film and it is touted to showcase her in a different dimension. Apart from Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal, the film also stars Siddharth, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivekh, Bobby Simha, Nedumudi Venu in important roles. Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, Indian 2 has music scored by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography by Rathnavelu. The shooting of the film is expected to resume after the pandemic when everyone is declared safe.

She is also playing one of the female leads in Hey Sinamika, an upcoming Tamil romantic drama, that features Dulquer Salmaan and Aditi Rao Hydari as the other leads. Hey Sinamika marks the directorial debut of popular dance master Brindha and it has music scored by Govind Vasantha. Hey Sinamika was officially launched just a few days before the lockdown.

Kajal Aggarwal has completed the shooting of her debut digital venture, a Tamil web series titled Live Telecast that is directed by Venkat Prabhu. This Hotstar web series is a 7-episode horror thriller that is expected to release very soon. Kajal is also awaiting the release of her long delayed Paris Paris (directed by Ramesh Aravind) which is the Tamil remake of Kangana Ranaut's Queen.
