Tamil actor Ajrun Das will next be seen in the much awaited Tami-Hindi bilingual film Por / Dange alongside Kalidas Jayaram, TJ Bhanu, and Sanchana Natarajan under David (2013) fame Bejoy Nambiar's direction. Speaking to the media on Monday, February 26, at the upcoming film's press meet, the young sensation, who also played a pivotal role in 'Thalapathy' Vijay's blockbuster Master (2021), opened up on the possibility of reprising his role as Anbu Das from Kaithi (2019) in the planned sequel, Kaithi 2 under filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj's direction.

Addressing whether he will be seen in Kaithi 2, Arjun Das stated, "Lokesh sir only can tell that. It will be wonderful if he calls me. It's a good thing I didn't die in the LCU. So, hopefully, I believe I'll be there in the film. Let's see." Tamil cinema fans noticed noted Arjun make an appearance as Anbu in 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan's Vikram (2022), which went on to become a raging box-office success and thus established the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). Seen towards the final moments in Vikram, Arjun alongside Harish Uthaman, who played Adaikalam in Kaithi, left fans excited with their cameos in the Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil-starrer, which included a rocking guest appearance by Suriya as Rolex, and the wait will now be on for what Lokesh Kanagaraj has planned next for their characters in Kaithi 2, which will see Karthi reprising his role as Dilli

Although not many details are known about Kaithi 2 at this point, it is believed that filming on the project will take off after Lokesh Kanagaraj completes shooting his next big film, the tentatively titled Thalaivar 171 with 'Superstar' Rajinikanth. Karthi too is busy with his current slate of projects  that includes Karthi 26 with director Nalan Kumarasamy of Soodhu Kavvum (2013) and Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum (2016) fame and Karthi 27 under Prem Kumar's direction, who impressed audiences with his 96 (2018).
