The wait is over for Tamil cinema fans as the highly-anticipated Jigarthanda DoubleX trailer has now been released giving audiences a glimpse at the massive action in store in theatres starting November 10. The upcoming period action comedy film directed by blockbuster Tamil filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj and featuring music by hit composer Santhosh Narayanan is coming out as a grand Diwali treat in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada languages. With only a week left for Jigarthanda DoubleX to take theatres by storm, the film's trailer once again reminds us of the adeptness of Karthik Subbaraj in making a film that will draw fans to the cinemas.
The Jigarthanda DoubleX trailer starts off with a debate about a dark-skinned person playing the role of a hero in Tamil cinema for the first time and Raghava Lawrence, a gangster, aiming to reach the stars with the help of S J Suryah, who is a director and a former associate of legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray. The visuals then progress to display plenty of action with Lawrence in the midst of a clash with politicians and the police, while also showing Malayalam actors Shine Tom Chacko and Nimisha Sajayan in pivotal roles, with the ivory trade too set to be a major plot point in the story. The Jigarthanda DoubleX trailer is high on the action from start to finish and gives hope of a riveting and edge-of-the-seat entertainer along the lines of director Karthik Subbaraj's Jigarthanda (2014).
The expectations for Jigarthanda DoubleX have been huge right from the get-go and fans will be looking to witness explosive performances from Raghava Lawrence and S J Suryah once again. Director Karthik Subbaraj will also be aiming to hit the high note once again with the film as it is his first big theatrical release after Petta (2019) considering his Jagame Thandhiram (2021) and Mahaan (2022) premiered directly on streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
