Earlier today (September 15), popular Malayalam actor Jayasurya officially announced his 100th film as an actor and the project has excited the fans and film buffs. Titled Sunny, the film is written and directed by Ranjith Sankar. Interestingly, the film will have a direct OTT release on Amazon Prime Video and it is all set to release on September 23. The recent Malayalam releases on OTT platforms have opened to positive reception and let us hope that Jayasurya's Sunny also follows the pattern. The announcement on Sunny's OTT release was made along with the release of the teaser which looks quite promising.

The teaser introduces us to the character of Sunny, who is a musician. The film is expected to take the audience through his musical journey. The official announcement on Sunny's OTT release was made today as it marks Jayasurya's 20th year in the film industry. Jayasurya penned a heartfelt emotional note on completing 100 films as an actor and his post has earned the love of the fans. Jayasurya mentioned that his character in Sunny is more special to him than his previous roles.

Sharing a poster of Sunny, Jayasurya wrote, "20 years in Cinema, 20 years in an industry I proudly call mine 20 years of working with the best directors, producers, actors and technicians 20 years of growth 20 years of being humbled by all of your love and support. Thank you. In these 20 beautiful years, I have been nothing short of blessed. Blessed with a 100 movies 100 characters very very dear to me 100 stories Innumerable ‘start camera actions’ Innumerable ‘cuts’ And an abundance of all things beautiful. At the start of this beautiful journey, never did I ever imagine I would be here announcing my 100th movie, Sunny. Sunny, like every other character of mine is special but I can confidently say that it has a slightly more special place in my heart because of how unique the concept is. I am very happy to announce that Sunny will be all yours on September 23rd, with Amazon Prime doing a worldwide release in 240 countries".
