The COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus outbreak has been ravaging across the world and it was declared a Pandemic in March. Almost all the countries have gone into lockdown mode and all major events including sporting, political and other such events, which have all either been postponed or cancelled to avoid large crowds from gathering. All sports events including the Olympics and Cricket have been hit and the Cricket T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to happen in October is also very unlikely to happen. However, the Indian Cricket Team was originally scheduled to play a series of 4 Tests, in November-December of this year but this series has also been in doubt because of the Corona Virus! However, there seems to be some good news in the offing for Cricket enthusiasts!

India ready for Quarantine before Australia Test Series

A senior official close to the BCCI has revealed that the Indian team is willing to go ahead with the Test series, following whatever safety precautions need to be taken! We hear that the Indian team is alright to play the series behind closed doors with no crowds. India is also willing to undergo the mandatory 2-week quarantine period after travelling to Australia, before the Test series begins! However, we hear that Australia wants to increase the series by 1 more Test and make it a 5-Test series but the Indian management has not agreed to it as yet, as they feel that a limited overs match would have more revenue than a test. Live Cricket has ground to a halt across the world and it would be great if some action could resume, with necessary precautions! Stay tuned for updates...
