Hollywood superstar Hugh Jackman has confirmed that he has tested positive for Covid-19. The blockbuster actor has been playing the lead in Broadway's The Music Man and has revealed that he has quarantined himself after his test results came out positive. Jackman appeared in a video that was shared by him on social media in which he goes on to speak about his health condition and the steps he is taking en route to his road to recovery. Sharing the video, the X-Men and Wolverine actor wrote, "Just wanted you to hear it from me. I tested positive for covid. Mild symptoms and as soon as I’m cleared...looking forward to getting back to The Winter Garden!"

In the video, Jackman, who can be seen wearing a mask, appealed to fans to stay safe. He said, "Hey, good morning, so I just wanted you to hear it from me that I tested positive this morning for COVID." The Academy Award-nominated actor added, "My symptoms are like a cold. I have a scratchy throat and a bit of a runny nose but I'm fine and I'm just gonna do everything I can to get better ASAP and, as soon as I'm cleared, I'll be back up on stage heading to River City. So, just wanted you to hear it from me. Please, stay safe, be healthy, be kind." Below is the video posted on Twitter: 

Hugh Jackman, who is best known among fans for portraying the Marvel Comics superhero character Wolverine in the X-Men films, was seen earlier this year in the neo-noir science fiction thriller Reminiscence. His upcoming film, The Son, is a drama and will feature him alongside Oscar winner Sir Anthony Hopkins, Laura Dern, Vanessa Kirby, and is currently in the post-production stages.
