India's leading streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar Tamil has been delivering non-stop entertainment to fans over the years and have once again stepped up the game with Heart Beat. The Tamil medical drama series premiered on the OTT platform on March 8 and has been directed by Deepak Sundarrajan, who previously made Annabelle Sethupathi (2021) with Vijay Sethupathi and Taapsee Pannu, while also serving as a writer on the Harish Kalyan and Priya Bhavani Shankar-starrer Oh Manapenne! (2021). Heart Beat revolves around the interesting incidents amidst a hospital backdrop and began streaming on the Disney+ Hotstar Tamil on the occasion of International Women's Day.
Heart Beat stars Anu Mol, Deepa Balu, Yogalakshmi, Thapa, Charukesh, Ram, Sabaresh, Sarvhaa, Padine Kumar, Guru Lakshman, Jayarao, Giri Dwarakesh, Chandrashekar, Devisree, Kavithalaya Krishnan, Diyansh, Riya, Smile Selva, Saravanan Rajavel, among others in key roles. Aimed at a youth audience, the medical drama series produced by A Tele Factory has several new faces in its star cast, and have charmed their way into the hearts of the audiences, while Regimel Surya Thomas has handled the cinematography. The official synopsis for Heart Beat is as follows: "RK Multi-speciality Hospital is a beacon of hope and healing. Its doctors are resilient even when they have to deal with medical and personal challenges."
