Leading Tamil actor Vishal and blockbuster director Hari's next film, Rathnam, is gearing up for a grand worldwide theatrical release this April. The much awaited film is billed to be a flat out action entertainer and will feature songs and a background score composed by National Award-winning composer Devi Sri Prasad. With post-production works already underway, the team on Thursday, March 7, surprised fans with an announcement about the Rathnam first single titled 'Don't Worry Da Machi'. 

The Rathnam team dropped a special poster along with the announcement that the first single 'Don't Worry Da Machi' will be launched by Vishal, Hari, Devi Sri Prasad, lyricist Viveka, Samuthirakani, among others in the film on March 9 at 6 p.m. at the Vibrance '24 Fest at the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT College) in Chennai. The team wrote in their announcement, "Time for the smashing intro song of #Rathnam 🥁 First single #DontWorryDaMachi releasing on 9th March at the Vibrance '24 Fest at VIT College, Chennai! Starring Puratchi Thalapathy @VishalKOfficial A film by #Hari. A @ThisisDSP musical." (sic)

There is quite a lot of buzz surrounding Rathnam as it marks the third-time collaboration for Vishal and Hari after their blockbusters Thamirabharani (2007) and Poojai (2014), and the duo are expected to hit the high note once again. Devi Sri Prasad, who won the National Award for his sensational work in Pushpa: The Rise - Part 1 (2021), is yet again expected to deliver chart-topping hits and the wait is now on among fans to listen to what he's cooked for Vishal's intro song in Rathnam. The upcoming film also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead, while Gautham Menon, Samuthirakani, Yogi Babu, among others will be seen in pivotal roles. Vishal will looking to hit the bullseye with Rathnam after his Mark Antony (2023) went on to become his first 100-crore venture at the box office.
