Leading Tamil actor Vishal will be kicking off 2024 with Rathnam scheduled to open in cinemas worldwide as a grand summer release on April 26. The upcoming film is directed by blockbuster Tamil filmmaker Hari and will feature songs and a background score composed by Devi Sri Prasad, who has become a much sought after name after his work in Pushpa: The Rise - Part 1 (2021) won him a National Award. Currently in the post-production stages, the promotions for Vishal's Rathnam have commenced as the team on Saturday, March 9, released the film's first single titled 'Don't Worry Da Machi' at the Vibrance '24 Fest at the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT College) in Chennai.

Featuring vocals by Devi Sri Prasad to the lyrics penned by Viveka, the 'Don't Worry Da Machi' song is a foot-tapping number and the lyric video also gives viewers a glimpse at Vishal's intro in Rathnam, which no doubt sets the stage for a big dance celebration in cinemas next month. There is quite a lot of buzz surrounding the highly-anticipated action drama venture as it marks the third-time collaboration for Vishal and director Hari after their previous films Thamirabharani (2007) and Poojai (2014) went on to become blockbusters, and the duo will once again be looking to hit the bullseye at the box office.

Considering Rathnam is billed to be an out-and-out high-octane entertainer, the film is set to be loaded with plenty of action, which has been quite evident in the promotional material unveiled so far. The inclusion of reputed stunt choreographers Kanal Kannan, Dhilip Subbarayan, and Peter Hein also adds to the tremendous scope for action in the film and it now remains to be seen what Hari and Vishal have cooked for fans up next. Vishal, who entered the 100-crore club with Mark Antony (2023), will be looking to come out firing on all cylinders with Rathnam, which will see him paired with youth sensation Priya Bhavani Shankar, while Gautham Menon, Samuthirakani, Yogi Babu, among others will be appearing in key roles.
