Former Indian cricketing legend, Harbhajan Singh will be making his debut as a lead actor with the upcoming Tamil film, Friendship which is scheduled to release in theatres on September 17. The film features Bigg Boss sensation Losliya as the female lead, marking her debut in Tamil cinema. Action King Arjun will be seen playing a crucial role, alongside Sathish, Subha Venkat, JSK Satish Kumar, Cook with Comali fame Bala, and others. Ahead of the release, the makers have now released a new sneak peek - the first 7 minutes of the movie and it looks quite promising. The film starts off with a bunch of spoilt college students abducting a girl on a rainy night. The next scene shifts to Action King Arjun who kills the students - those who were behind the abduction incident.

Later, we see a politician who addresses the media, explaining how the current generation of college students do not have a social responsibility. In intercuts, we see the film's lead, Harbhajan Singh and his friends coming out of a Police van. The sneak peek ends there, making the audience curious to see what happens next. This sneak peek of Friendship has opened to fairly positive reception from the audience. Harbhajan Singh, in one of his earlier interviews, had mentioned that Friendship will be a quality entertainer that will carry an important message to society.

Produced by JPR and Stalin under the banner of Sentoa Studios, in association with Cinemaass, the film has music composed by DM Udhaya Kumar. Santha Kumar has handled the cinematography, while the editing is taken care of by Deepak S Dwaraknath. PS Raj has penned the dialogues. Friendship is directed by John Paul Raj and Sham Surya.
