“Somehow talking to big filmmakers have also though me that, I have spoken to Mani sir about this many times”, revealed the director Gautham Menon. He then said they do work and release it, “Who are they to criticize it, if they don't like it it's fine”. He then said that he gets to know the vibe, If a film does not work well collectively then he will know it but who is one person to say he doesn’t like the film? He then said he learned that expectations are the problem as the film Nadunisi Naigal was released after Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa created an expectation but it worked for some people who likes those kind of films. He said he is okay with memes and trolls but some reviews see others in a subservient way and that’s the issue and "There is decorum in how you say, you don't like something."
Dhruva Natchathiram director then said he got frustrated when they(reviewers) talk about certain filmmakers, "the way he handled Parthiban issue, Ponniyin Selvan and all that it affected me, beyond I am ok. In a rush, I would say something and they would say this person is from this caste, that is his call to do. That's it. Lokesh (Kanagaraj) called me and said 'why do you want to make it big, It would maker more 10 people watch that reviews. I didn't understand that but I understood it”. Gautham Vasudev Menon then said Beyond that, it's a free world, everyone is free to say what they want. The long-awaited film of Dhruva Natchathiram is speculated to be released soon in theatres.
