Thalapathy Vijay is currently shooting for his next film, Beast, which is helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar of Kolamaavu Kokila and Doctor fame. The film has got huge expectations among the fans and it is expected to hit the screens for the festive occasion of Pongal, next year. Produced by Sun Pictures, Beast features Pooja Hegde as the female lead and has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Director Selvaraghavan will be seen acting in the film as one of the antagonists, while Yogi Babu, Shine Tom Chacko, VTV Ganesh. Aparna Das, play supporting characters.

Meanwhile, Vijay is expected to team up with popular director Vamshi Paidipally for his next film, Thalapathy 66. According to reports, Thalapathy 66 will be a pan Indian film that will be shot in Tamil and Telugu, with dubbed release in other languages. Though a formal announcement on the project is yet to be made by the production side, the project is almost confirmed and we have seen several hints about the same in the past. Having said that, director Vamshi's latest statement on his next film has grabbed the attention of the fans, making them excited.

Though Vamshi never mentioned Vijay or Thalapathy 66 in any of his answers, the video of his speech has gone viral among the fans. Talking in a recent interaction, director Vamshi said, "I cannot say anything now. You will know about it soon because there is an announcement that is going to come and we just do not want to dilute it by giving any information now". Well, Vamshi says that an announcement is on the way and does that mean we can expect a formal announcement on Thalapathy 66 very soon?.

Let us keep our fingers crossed and wait for the official developments. Thalapathy 66 will be produced by Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations.
