The news about his hospitalization was confirmed by official sources from the film industry and the fans have been praying for his speedy recovery. After Chithi, Daniel Balaji acted in the widely popular TV serial, Alaigal which featured Venu Arvind, Jayachitra, Vadivukkarasi in the lead roles. The serial was directed by Sundar K Vijayan.
