Blockbuster Tamil filmmaker Venkat Prabhu's Custody marks his Telugu cinema debut starring Naga Chaitanya and Krithi Shetty in the lead roles and has been produced under Srinivasaa Chitturi's Srinivasaa Silver Screen banner.. Gearing up for a grand theatrical release on May 12, the upcoming film is coming out as a bilingual in Telugu and Tamil languages, and features music by the father-son duo 'Maestro' Ilaiyaraaja and 'Little Maestro' Yuvan Shankar Raja once again after last year's Maamanithan starring Vijay Sethupathi. With promotions already underway and the excitement getting bigger by the day, the much-awaited Custody trailer is now out and packed with plenty of intriguing fun and action moments from beginning to end.
Set in the 1990s, the Custody trailer starts off with introducing Naga Chaitanya as a young police officer wanting to do good in the department, with youth sensation Krithi Shetty playing his lover. With the pressure to get married soon, we see him get entangled in a web of unexpected circumstances, with Arvind Swami playing the role of a killer, while Sararthkumar is cast as a senior police officer. The Custody trailer also reveals Priyamani as a politician and Kayal Anandhi as well making an appearance. The visuals are intriguing and keep us hooked from the beginning to end hinting at the exciting story. Custody also stars Sampath Raj, Premji Amaren, Vennela Kishore, Premi Vishwanath among others in pivotal roles and the latest glimpse assures us that there's a big treat that awaits audiences in cinemas next week.
Venkat Prabhu, who is also known for some of his other big hits like the Chennai 600028 films, Saroja, Goa, Massu Engira Masilamani, including the blockbuster Mankatha, is expected to make a strong arrival in his Telugu debut as well. The hit director, who stunned Tamil cinema audiences with the edge-of-the-seat thrilling entertainer, Maanaadu, starring Silambarasan TR in 2020, will no doubt be looking to hit the bullseye with Custody as well.
