Silambarasan TR's transformation has been the talk of the town over the past few days for his upcoming ventures, with the actor's new uber slim and suave look winning hearts. Simbu, who is currently attached to a number of projects, is filming for Eeswaran under Susienthiran's direction at Dindigul, with the film's motion poster released recently receiving a thumping response. Being produced by KV Durai & MDM Sharfudden under the D Company banner, the film being presented by Balaji Kappa's Madhav Media will also be released in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

Having said that, STR's name has once again landed in a new controversy as a complaint has been filed against him after a video went viral online showing the star handling a live snake in a bush and putting it into a sack. In that light, one Shravan Krishnamoorthy in his complaint with the Forest Department has stated that Simbu is seen harassing the snake in the video. As of now, it remains to be seen what action the authorities resort to next based on this latest complaint, which has yet again created controversy against the flamboyant star.

Eeswaran has been announced to be coming out as a Pongal 2021 treat for fans, with the film also including S. Thaman for the music, who has joined a Simbu venture after their previous collaborations namely Osthe and Vaalu. The film will see Silambarasan TR romancing Nidhhi Agerwal from the upcoming Jayam Ravi starrer Bhoomi, while veteran director Bharathiraja, actress Nandita Swetha and Bala Saravanan have been cast in important supporting roles.

Touted to be a mass rural entertainer, Eeswaran also includes S Thirunavukkarasu handling the cinematography, while Anthony has come on board as the editor and Rajeevan is the art director, with the team planning to wrap up the film in a single schedule. Production on the film is currently progressing at a rapid pace, with the team following the COVID-19 protocols on the sets as per the government's instructions. Post Eeswaran, STR will be returning to filming for his mass masala political entertainer, Maanaadu, under Venkat Prabhu's direction. The actor is also expected to recommence the remake of the Kannada film Mufti and will be seen in an extended cameo appearance in Maha, which wrapped up its production last week.
