Cobra is an upcoming action thriller film written and directed by R. Ajay Gnanamuthu and produced by S. S. Lalit Kumar under the banner of 7 Screen Studio. The film features an ensemble cast with Chiyaan Vikram in the leading and titular role along with Srinidhi Shetty, Irfan Pathan, Miya George, Roshan Mathew, Sarjano Khalid, Padmapriya, Mohammad Ali Baig, Kaniha, Mirnalini Ravi, Meenakshi, and K.S. Ravikumar in supporting roles.

In order to keep the hype around the film fresh, the makers of the highly anticipated movie have been garnering the attention of audiences with its promising posters and unique songs. Two songs have already been released and have got a great response from its audience and especially from all Vikram fans. The first single titled 'Thumbi Thullal' was released on 22 June 2020 and the second single titled 'Adheeraa' was released on 22 April 2022. It has now been announced that the 3rd single of the song will be out soon.

Chiyaan Vikram will be playing 20 different characters in the highly anticipated film. This film also marks the film debut of many of its cast members. It will be the film debut of Indian Cricketer Irfan Pathan and the Tamil film debuts of Srinidhi Shetty, Sarjano Khalid, and Roshan Mathew. The original score and soundtrack are composed by A. R. Rahman. The film marks Rahman's fourth collaboration with Vikram after composing for Pudhiya Mannargal, Raavanan, and I. The cinematography has been handled by Harish Kannan and editing by Bhuvan Srinivasan. Cobra is scheduled to be released theatrically on 11 August 2022.
