Popular Malayalam actor Rafi, who became a household name after starring in the Flowers TV sitcom Chakkappazham, will be tying the knot with his long-time girlfriend Maheena on February 28. He made the announcement on social media and shared a picture from an adorable pre-wedding photoshoot, with wishes pouring in from celebrities and fans alike. In the pictures, we see Maheena planting a kiss by biting Rafi's cheek and the couple look absolutely in love. Rafi and Maheena got engaged last July, with pictures of their time together since then flooding their social media handles. Rafi, who plays the character Sumesh on Chakkappazham, has since become a sensation among the young and the elderly alike for his lively screen presence and sense of humor. He has also been felicitated with the Kerala State TV award for the Second-Best Actor for his acting skills on Chakkappazham. Rafi has also forayed into the web series space and recently revealed that his upcoming show has been titled Night Shift, which also has Shyam, Nikhil Prasad, Vishnu Agastya, among others in its star cast. Prior to garnering fame on Chakkappazham, his personal life was a big struggle as he had to work at construction sites and a number of other jobs to make ends meet.
As for Chakkappazham, the show has completed more than 300 episodes to date and revolves around the family of Uthaman and his wife Asha portrayed by S. P. Sreekumar and Aswathy Sreekanth. Appearing as Uthaman's younger brother, Rafi is joined by Shruthi Rajanikanth, Amal Rajdev and Sabita George in the supporting cast of the show.
