Boney Kapoor has become a very closely associated name in Tamil cinema, after his collaboration with Thala Ajith Kumar. Boney ventured into production in Tamil with Ajith’s Nerkonda Paarvai which was a big hit at the box office. The duo is currently working on Valimai which will be Ajith’s next release after NKP. Apart from promoting his films, Boney Kapoor uses his Twitter page to share his personal thoughts and on that note, he has posted a new tweet, recollecting his initial days of cinema journey. Boney said that he began his career in 1973 by assisting his father in his production movies. There is no doubt that Boney Kapoor is one of the most successful producers across the country and who still has some great projects lined up.

Boney’s tweet read, “My journey in film making began in 1973 assisting my father in his productions I also worked as one of the assistants for 2yrs with KamalakarKarkhanis who edited some of ManmohanDesai’s blockbuster films joined Shakti da as assistant director between 1976/77 Anurodh was 1st film”. However, this tweet has come as a disappointment for a section of Ajith fans who have been constantly asking for updates regarding Valimai. The fans have expressed their reaction through the comments below the tweet and their disappointment is evident. However, it looks like the fans can expect updates from the team of Valimai only when the shoot resumes after the pandemic.

Talking about Valimai, the film has got huge expectations among the fans and Ajith will be seen playing the role of a cop in this action adventure drama, directed by H Vinoth. According to reports, the film is going to have a lot of action and chase sequences and we can expect Ajith to pull off some high-octane, risky stunt moves. The movie has popular Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi playing the female lead, while the lead antagonist is yet to be officially announced. Valimai will have music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Nirav Shah.

As we all know, the film's shooting has been stalled due to the global pandemic situation and one is not sure when the shooting will resume. Ajith has reportedly made it clear that the shooting of Valimai will resume only when everyone is declared safe from the pandemic. Being a big-budget film shot on a large scale, it is not practically possible for the makers to shoot with a very minimal crew and hence we can expect the shooting of the film to resume when things get normal.
