Valimai producer Boney Kapoor has officially announced the postponement of the teaser release of his upcoming production, Nenjuku Needhi that stars Udhayanidhi Stalin in the lead role. The official teaser of Udhayanidhi's Nenjuku Needhi was set to release at 6.30 PM today (February 6) and the fans were eagerly looking forward to witnessing it. However, the release has been called off. This postponement has occurred due to the untimely demise of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar who breathed her last, this morning at Mumbai. Boney Kapoor took to his official Twitter page to share the news with everyone.

The official statement from the makers of Nenjuku Needhi read, "Team Nenjuku Needhi joins the nation in mourning the passing away of the voice of India - Respected Lata Mangeshkar ji. We have postponed the release of our teaser scheduled for today". The teaser release has been postponed without a new date and the makers are expected to release the teaser within the next two weeks. Nenjuku Needhi is directed by Arunraja Kamaraj who made a striking debut in Tamil cinema with the Aishwarya Rajesh starrer Kanaa produced by Sivakarthikeyan.

Nenjuku Needhi is the official Tamil remake of the critically acclaimed Hindi film Article 15 which had Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role. Produced by Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects in association with Zee Studios and Romeo Pictures, the film has music composed by Dhibu Ninan Thomas and cinematography handled by Dinesh Krishnan B. While Udhayanidhi Stalin plays the lead role, the film has Bigg Boss fame Aari Arujunan, Suresh Chakravarthy, Tanya Ravichandran in pivotal roles.

Meanwhile, Boney Kapoor is currently busy with the release works of his highly anticipated Ajith Kumar starrer Valimai which is set to hit the screens on February 24, amidst huge expectations. Valimai is an action drama that features Ajith in the role of a police officer, under the direction of H Vinoth.
