Meanwhile, with the film 11 days into its theatrical run across the world, Avengers: Endgame has now been declared to be the fastest ever film ever to enter the $2 billion club at the worldwide box office. Incidentally, the film has now earned the distinction of becoming the second-biggest film release ever while also knocking out James Cameron’s epic romance disaster film, Titanic, from the second spot in the list of the highest-grossing films of all time

Avengers: Endgame is now in hot pursuit of James Cameron’s science fiction action adventure film, Avatar, which stands in the number one position in worldwide box office collections with over $2.7 billion. The 2009 blockbuster also went on to accomplish the feat of hitting the $2 billion mark at the box office in a span of 47 days.

Based on the stunning response Avengers: Endgame has seen and is continuing to receive, it looks like the film surpassing Avatar’s nearly a decade long record at the top spot is highly likely despite upcoming big releases namely Pokémon: Detective Pikachu, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, Aladdin and Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
