A project that left everyone excited right from the moment of its inception, actor Vijay’s upcoming film, tentatively titled Thalapathy 64, was officially announced to be rolling into production from October 2019 under director Lokesh Kanagaraj of Maanagaram fame. Although not much is known at this point about the film, it is being speculated the project will be an intense, dark and gritty gangster action thriller and will feature music by Anirudh Ravichander. There has been considerable discussion among fans as to when production will begin in light of the film announced to hit screens as a summer 2020 release. With pre-production works said to be in full swing already, sources close to us have now revealed that Thalapathy 64 shooting will most likely kick-off from October 3.
There is massive hype for Thalapathy 64 ever since the official announcement on the film’s main crew was revealed a while back. As of now, the cast is yet to be finalized and there are various names being speculated for the female lead among whom include Telugu sensation Rashmika Mandanna and Bollywood heroine Kiara Advani as the main contenders. Being produced under Xavier Britto’s XB Film Creators banner, Thalapathy 64 includes cinematographer Sathyan Sooryan, editor Philomin Raj, art director Satheesh Kumar and Stunt Silva, who will be taking care of the action in the film. Fans will know that Xavier Britto is Vijay’s close relative and had earlier produced the superstar’s earlier ventures namely Senthoora Pandi and Rasigan in the 1990s. Vijay’s manager Jagadish too is making his debut on the production front along with Seven Screen Studio’s Lalit Kumar as Line Producers with the film’s audio rights being snapped by Sony Music.
