Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi acted in Sangathamizhan which earned mixed to negative reviews from the critics. However, a section of the general audience did enjoy the film for its entertainment factor. Sangathamizhan was a rural mass entertainer that was high on action and family sentiment and it was directed by Vijay Chandar who had earlier made Vaalu (Silambarasan TR) and Sketch (Chiyaan Vikram). Sangathamizhan featured Raashi Khanna and Nivetha Pethuraj as the female leads, while Soori, Nassar, Ravi Kishan, Ashutosh Rana, Sriman, Soundararaja, Mime Gopi, and others played supporting roles.

Sangathamizhan also marked Vijay Sethupathi playing dual roles. The film was dubbed and released in Telugu as Vijay Sethupathi. The Telugu version also released a few days after the Tamil version's release. The Telugu version is now all set to have its digital premiere. Yes! Vijay Sethupathi, the Telugu dubbed version of Sangathamizhan will stream on AHA, which is an online streaming platform exclusively for Telugu contents. The streaming platform is owned by veteran producer Allu Aravind. Vijay Sethupathi will stream on AHA from May 14, coming Friday, and ahead of the release, a brand new trailer has now been released.

The trailer has got a good reception from the Telugu audience and it looks like the film might satisfy them. Vijay Sethupathi has several exciting films in his lineup and all the projects are in different stages of production. The lineup includes Tughlaq Durbar, Kadaisi Vivasayi (extended cameo), Laabam, Maamanithan, Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir, Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, Viduthalai, Annabelle Subramaniam, Mumbaikar (Hindi debut), and more.

Among the lot, Laabam is expected to release first as the film is fully complete and ready for release. Laabam is directed by late filmmaker, SP Jhananathan and the film is planned for a theatrical release. Recent rumours suggested that Tughlaq Durbar will have a direct OTT release on Disney Hotstar, but an official announcement is yet to be made.
