Actor Ajith Kumar recently won Gold Medals at the Tamil Nadu State Shooting Championship and the pictures and videos of Ajith being conferred with the medals went viral on social media. Having said that, the details regarding Ajith's medals and the categories have now been revealed by the actor's official PR team. According to the official statement, Ajith Kumar represented Chennai Rifle Club and won 6 medals in total, for the team. Among the six medals, four were gold and two were silver. The details of the winning categories are as follows:

Air Pistol 10 mts (ISSF) Team - Gold
Center Fire Pistol .32 (ISSF) 25 mts Team - Silver
Center Fire Pistol .32 (NR) 25 mts Team - Gold
Standard Pistol .22 (ISSF) 25 mts Team - Gold
Standard Pistol .22 (NR) 25 mts Team - Silver
Free Pistol .22 (NR) 50 mts Team - Gold

The competition happened for a span of five days from March 3 to March 7 and around 900 shooters participated across Tamil Nadu. The medals were given away by Rajsekar Pandian, Secretary of Chennai Rifle Club (who is also actor Suriya's best friend and the director of 2D Entertainment), DVS Rao - Secretary-General of National Rifle Association, Tamilselvan - DGP, Ravikrishnan - Secretary of Tamil Nadu Shooting Association and Gopinath - Joint Sec. Chennai Rifle Club. Additionally, the PR team has also released the official video of Ajith being conferred with the gold and silver medals and the video has instantly gone viral on social media. Ajith must be a happy man indeed, on winning these medals and his fans are celebrating the moment on social media.

On the acting front, Ajith's next film will be Valimai in which he will be seen playing the role of a police officer. The film is directed by H Vinoth who directed Ajith's earlier film, Nerkonda Paarvai. H Vinoth is known for his strong research works and his films have always been strong on content - ex. Sathuranga Vettai, Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, etc. and on that note, Valimai, being his own script, we can expect the talented filmmaker to have got an interesting premise in hand. Produced by Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects LLP, Valimai has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography handled by Nirav Shah.
