Legendary singer SP Balasubrahmanyam passed away on September 25 and life has definitely not been the same for the fans and music lovers. SPB was an one of a kind artist who was loved by everyone for his impeccable singing talent and beautiful character as a human being. Ever since his demise, the fans have been sharing their favourite songs of SPB on social media and the entire digital space looks emotional. Former Bigg Boss contestant and actress Vanitha Vijayakumar took to her Twitter page to recollect her memories of hearing SPB’s songs.

Also, she shared an interesting fact that she would request Thalapathy Vijay to sing SPB’s ‘Malare Mounama’ song during their shooting times. Vanitha tweeted, “I still remember how many times I used to ask @actorvijay to sing malare mounama song to me....he used to give me a nasty look coz I bugged him so much but sweetly sang it for me...memories #SPBalasubrahmanyam”. This tweet from Vanitha has gone viral among the fans as the information is something new and we haven’t heard of in the past.

Vanitha and Vijay have shared a good rapport and the former has always expressed her love and admiration for the Thuppakki star. We all know that Vijay is a wonderful singer and we’ve listened to his voice as a singer in his films. It is good to know that he has sung some of the classic songs of SPB. Vijay attended the funeral event of SP Balasubrahmanyam at Thamaraipakkam and the entire social media was abuzz about his visit. He came in person and paid his final respect to the legendary singer. The duo have shared screen space together in Priyamanavale. Talking about SPB’s demise, Vanitha had earlier tweeted, “#RIPSPB unbelievable.. 2020.. u shook us up enough… stop please.. cant take it anymore”.

After getting admitted to a hospital in Chennai due to Covid 19 complications, SPB was under medication for the past 50 days. SPB has sung over 40000 songs in several languages, in a career spanning 5 decades. He has also got 6 National Film Awards for Best Male Playback Singer.
