The next grand Sun Pictures venture, the film was initially announced under the tentative title of Thalapathy 65, with Kolamaavu Kokila fame Nelson Dilipkumar coming on board as the director, who also awaits the release of his upcoming Doctor starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role. The Beast first look and title reveal has received a massive response from fans and celebrities in the Tamil film industry as many notable names have expressed their happiness on witnessing Vijay in a rugged action avatar.
