A film that has stirred up massive excitement right from the moment of its announcement towards the end of last year, Thalapathy 65, starring Vijay, is being produced by the prestigious Sun Pictures banner, with Nelson Dilipkumar of Kolamaavu Kokila and the upcoming Sivakarthikeyan-starrer Doctor fame handling the directorial duties. As Vijay's birthday is tomorrow, Sun Pictures had earlier this week announced that the much-awaited Thalapathy 65 first look and title would be revealed today as a special treat for the superstar's fans. Now, the wait is over as the title for Vijay's Thalapathy 65 has been revealed to be BEAST, with the makers as well dropping a mass first look poster that will no doubt satisfy and leave the superstar's fans mighty happy. 

It has been a tradition for the first look of Vijay's films to be unveiled on his birthday every year considering three out of his last four films' titles with the exception of Master were revealed on the joyous occasion. The Thalapathy 65 or BEAST first look screams mass all the way and is right up there in the league of his last few films that include Mersal, Sarkar, Bigil and Master. Vijay's look in the BEAST first look can be described in one word - electrifying - and is something fans will be looking forward to witnessing furthermore once the film gets ready for release after it completes its production. Thalapathy 65 or BEAST has been a venture that has been carrying massive expectations among fans after it was announced that Vijay would be collaborating with Sun Pictures once again after the blockbuster success of the 2018 action political film, Sarkar. The project marks the second time the prestigious banner is producing a Vijay film and the fourth time association for the two after they previously also distributed Vettaikaaran, Sura and Sarkar. The BEAST team are currently in Chennai and are expected to take a call in the days ahead on resuming shooting considering the Tamil Nadu government on Sunday announced a new set of lockdown relaxations. The film also has 'Rockstar' Anirudh Ravichander composing the music and will be the third time he will be looking to deliver yet another chart-buster album and musical score after the grand success of Kaththi and Master. BEAST will see Vijay paired with actress Pooja Hegde, who is making her comeback to Tamil cinema after nearly a decade when she made her debut in Mysskin's Mugamoodi.
