Composer S. Thaman has been on cloud nine after the sensational success of his music in Allu Arjun's Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, earlier this year. The blockbuster success of the Telugu film, including the chart-buster songs, catapulted Thaman's popularity to new heights, with the composer currently a part of several notable and lucrative projects. Among his upcoming films are Ravi Teja's Krack, Pawan Kalyan's Vakeel Saab, Nani's Tuck Jagadish, including Keerthy Suresh's Miss India in Telugu, followed by Tamil ventures such as the recently-announced Silambarasan TR-Niddhi Agerwal starrer under Suseenthiran's direction and the biggie, Thalapathy 65, starring Vijay under AR Murugadoss' direction.

Considering Thaman has his hands full already, the hot and happening composer has now been announced to be a part of the upcoming Vishal and Arya multi-starrer, which began production on Friday. The hit music director was revealed last week to be scoring music for Simbu's next film currently being shot in Dindigul, while he had also informed fans a few months back that he will be joining hands with director AR Mururgadoss in Thalapathy 65. Being directed by Iru Mugan fame Anand Shankar, the Vishal-Arya film is being produced by S Vinodkumar's Mini Studios Productions, which is the banner's ninth venture and its fourth Tamil film in a row. Taking to Twitter, Vishal tweeted the announcement of Thaman coming on board the film: "#Vishal30 begins 2day wit brilliant cast&crew lkng frward 2 work with @anandshank in this kickass action thriller the bonus is my best friend @arya_offl working with me. goin 2 rock fr sure, All the best to @vinod_offl & the entire crew & welcome darling composer @MusicThaman .GB"

The yet-to-be-titled film will see Vishal playing the hero, with Arya revealed to be the antagonist. RD Rajasekar has been roped in for the cinematography on the project, which is Vishal's 30th film and Arya's 32nd. Production kicked off yesterday at the Ramoji Ram Film City in Hyderabad after a formal pooja. The film also marks the first time in nearly a decade that Vishal and Arya will be coming together on the big screen after their Avan Ivan in 2011 under National Award winner Bala's direction.
