Popular Telugu actor Kartikeya Gummakonda, who became a sensation in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana after starring in the smash box office hit RX 100, got engaged in an intimate ceremony in the presence of family members and close friends on Monday. The engagement ceremony had taken place in Hyderabad, owing to the COVID-19 restrictions in the state. According to reports, it will be an arranged marriage and the wedding date is yet to be announced. With details on Kartikeya's to-be bride yet to be known, a photo of the newly-engaged couple is now doing the rounds on social media showing them smiling with their family members. Kartikeya Gummakonda, who made his acting debut in Telugu in Prematho Mee Karthik in 2017, has gone on to become a promising name in Telugu cinema after his breakthrough in the romantic action hit RX 100. He was next cast in Hippi, which was produced by blockbuster Tamil film producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu's V Creations banner, after which he made heads turn playing the role of the antagonist in Nani's comedy thriller, Gang Leader, in 2019. He was next seen in the rom com, 90ML, which was once again his reunion with the team of RX 100. 

The pandemic had for a slight time delayed the release of Kartikeya's Chaavu Gaburu Challaga, opposite Lavanya Tripathi, with the film released earlier this year becoming a decent box office success. All set to be next seen in Raja Vikramarka as a National Investigation Agency (NIA) officer, the popular Telugu actor also has in his lineup the highly-anticipated Valimai alongside 'Thala' Ajith Kumar in Tamil. An action cop thriller, Valimai will mark Kartikeya's Tamil cinema debut, with expectations for the upcoming H. Vinoth directorial under Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects LLP banner getting bigger right from the moment of its announcement in 2019. Although details on his role in the film remain wrapped, it has been reported that Kartikeya will be seen as the villain, with the hype for the Ajith-starrer getting huge with each passing day.
