The news of SP Balasubrahmanyam's death has come as a massive shock for his countless fans around the world who have been sharing their condolences, with celebrities as well paying their tributes. Fans had not gotten to see SPB prior to his death apart from the video on Facebook he had appeared on the day he got admitted at the MGM Healthcare hospital after testing positive for the novel coronavirus. With the news of his death still echoing loud, fans are revisiting his final appearance in the video he had shared on his Facebook page on August 5.

In the video shared by the singing icon on Facebook, SPB provided an insight into his health then, while also assuring fans that he would make a recovery soon. SPB stated, "Hi everyone, this is SP Balasubrahmanyam. Since two-three days, I was having little discomfort, discomfort means this chest condition, which for a singer it is nonsense. Phlegm forming and cold and fever - on and off fever - these three things, otherwise I didn't have any problem. But, I didn't want to take it easy. So, I went to the hospital and checked. And, they said it's a mild, very mild positive of corona, you can stay home and self-quarantine yourself and take these medications and you'll be alright. But, I didn't want to do that. It's very tough with all the family, they can't leave alone. They're very concerned. So, I got admitted in the hospital."

SPB continued, "All my friends are here. They're taking good care of me. I am in good hands and I have good health. Nobody has to worry about this one. So, please don't bother to call me to find out how I am. I'm perfectly alright except the cold and fever. Even the fever has subsided. In two days, I'll be discharged and I'll be home. Thanks for the concern. Lots of people are calling me. I could not attend so many calls. I have come here mostly to take rest so that there won't be any disturbance to me and take the medication. Okay, thank you so much for your concern and please don't bother calling me. I'm fine. I will be fine. Thank you."
